Not really. McGill and Queens are the most competitive schools to get into for undergrad, and even still, if you're Canadian, and in the top 15% or so of your public highschool class, you can get into any school in the country. Manitoba is a middle of the road Canadian University, filled mostly with students from Manitoba and the Prairie provinces.
