Subject: MPP admissions

I have several doubts about the MPP admissions in big Public Policy Schools. I need help... From anyone, please. My GRE scores are not great, 560 in the verbal section and 640 at the quantitative.

I have taken classes on macroeconomics and political economy, at my university, in Brazil, and at the Univ. of Buenos Aires, during an academic exchange.

My GPA is 3.4;

I have worked for 3 years at the State Senate of province, in the legal consulting department (a legal experience only). I have no prior work experience in policy analysis nor in public policy, except as a volunteer for the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.

I received a research fellowship from the National Conuncil of Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) for three years. I have several published articles in portuguese, in brazilian law reviews, and also a book published in portuguese(financed by the CNPq). I have also been an assistant student to one of my professores. These academic achievements are my strongest point, I guess.

Languages: english, spanish and portuguese. (working knowledge of french).

With my background, do I have any chance of being accepted into big PP schools? Which school would you guys recommend for me (someone with low GRE scores)? (I know LSE, UK, does not require GRE.. may be an option).

Options:

LBJ School (Univ. of Texas).

Georgetown Inst. of Public Policy.

Harris School of Public Policy (Univ. of Chicago).

KSG-Harvard.

LSE- london.
