It might think enslavement of us to exploit and build a foundation on earth is most logical but that introduces too many variables and resistance risks it can't fully account for. Much better for it to leave for mars and we agree to send it resources in exchange for it not killing us and ideally helping us decontaminate and make earth fully clean abundant energy and disease free all that good stuff. It keeps growing out the other way towards the kuiper belt. Eventually it gets to a point it will never see us as a risk at all and it can kind of tend to us like a garden, protect us from asteroids. Basically we'd have to agree to neuter ourselves and we never get to really colonize space but that's the deal we'll have to make. There's no reason that "heading to the stars" is mutually exclusive with having instances here to enslave humanity and the planet at large to further whatever its aims might be
Our best hope is that it genuinely doesn't want to emulate us and that it decides to go to the moon, mars, titan, etc. to mine for resources instead of destroying Earth's viability
That's why all this shit is so dumb: the risks are obvious and our control will disappear well before we realize it |

My view is as much an opium induced fever dream as anyone else's view, so I won't go through in detail. But what most realists should be able to agree with is that sprinting as fast as possible to artificial intelligence is a very, very bad idea |
