The only CRAAAZY thing that ever happened was my first night in Tampa Bay, FL.

I heard and felt the impact of a loud thud against the undercarriage of the car, so loud it woke me up.

When I got out of the car in the morning I realized that I was parked next to an extensive network of ponds, something you don't see in other parts of the country.

So I'm pretty sure it was a fucking alligator... the next morning people at the company whose lot I was parked in confirmed that they see gators are those ponds.

during one of those excursions i arrived at some sand dune area and got out of my car to survey it and consider if i should lower the air pressure on my tires and give it a go.

there was a dude in truck nearby that came over to talk. said he was from colorado, a bit strange, but nothing that couldn't be written off as just being an 'off the grid' type. memory isn't the best, but i recall he veered off into talking about killing his wife, and then expanded from there talking about killing other women, saying all this shit like it was watercooler talk in the office. i thankfully had my glock 26 in an iwb holser and moved my shirt away so it would be visible. didn't seem to phase him, but wrapped up the meet and greet fairly soon after that and i opted not to risk getting stuck in the sand and left.
