Date: August 6th, 2024 1:04 AM Author: hairraiser bat shit crazy abode it’s good for the case to just use the word in context because it hammers home the gravity of the wrongdoing. however, my firm is insistent that i am not allowed to type the slur. instead, i have to call in one of our black associates to type it. i asked if i could just copy and paste it once they’ve typed it out once, and the firm said that a black associate could copy and paste it for me but i couldn’t because it’s effectively the same as typing it. it’s really slowing down my progress. anyone ever have this issue before? Then you build your brief around those words and delete them as necessary. I don't think the firm would have an issue with you deleting the word.

Date: August 6th, 2024 11:44 AM Author: hairraiser bat shit crazy abode update: see above regarding availability of black associates and support staff. following an excellent recommendation itt, i went down to the lobby to get one of the security guards to type it out for me fifty times. the one guy that i’m pretty friendly with wasn’t there, so i had to ask this lady that i’ve never talked to before. she was african so it maybe wasn’t quite as awkward as it could have been, although it did require a lot longer to explain and was still a truly awful conversation. suffice to say she did not indicate any amusement at the absurdity of the situation or empathy for my plight. i then finished the draft with about a dozen extra uses of the word at the end of the document. (i was nervous at first because it looked like i was going to run out, but it turned out the term was used much more frequently at the beginning.) the firm is fine with me deleting the slur but said i need to be extremely careful because if i accidentally hit ctrl+z then it would be the same as typing it. so now i have to decide if i’m going to risk that outcome or just redraft the document to include the word another dozen times. fml. Firm policy allows me to have a Black associate fill out an Affidavit of Nigger Pass confirming that the Black associate has officially granted me a Nigger Pass, record it with the county recorder, and attached a certified copy to the pleading.
But then it turns out we don't have any African-blooded associates, so I had to find an Italian one to do it because they're technically "Black". |
