I used to be a fairly troublesome alcoholic in my 20s and 30s.
I can still climb into my cups, but only do so if it is an obligation for someone else, e.g. a friend needs a drinking partner to get through some issue, or a wedding, etc.
I cannot imagine regularly, nightly getting wrecked at my age, of my own volition. Maybe I have poor genetics and you have good genetics, but three nights straight raging and the aftermath of pain and toxicity would be so overwhelming that the pain to pleasure ratio would be 10000:1.
From a purely hedonistic pov, routine inebriation would rank alongside taking a hammer to my forehead

Should I:
1. YOLO it with rando this weekend (story below)
2. Stick with bros and look for new broads this weekend
3. Let a girl who has been asking to come join for weekend
Story on #1, was making HEAVY eye contact with this broad at Byblos pool bar Fri, then her group got up and left, never approached her. One of her MALE friends came over after they'd left and said she asked him to get my contact details. Gave them to him, figured she'd never hit me up but she txt'd me last night and wants to hang out.

Interesting thread. I didn't recall that you left at the beginning of August. That's the beginning of peak Euro summer break, when a huge portion of the population is off work for weeks in a row. If anything, shouldn't that make St. T. more expensive and exclusive, as there is higher demand those weeks for the same amount of space?
Does most of your friends clearing out before the month that Euro workers are off mean most of the people you're hanging out with during your stay don't work, or don't work "regular" jobs that they need to show up for 46+ weeks per year?

Please evaluate my WAGECUCK SLAVE AMERIPOOR Summer Vacation Schedule:
3 Jul. 2026 - Backyard Pool Party at Friend's House
4 Jul. 2026 - Fourth of July Celebration with Family at wife's Aunt's House
1 Aug. 2026 - Trip to Oma's House (prepared a steak dinner with grilled ribeye out on her Weber kettle, sauteed mushrooms on the stove, grilled jalepeno, and a caprese salad. There was a thoroughly decanted Barolo DOCG with the dinner transitioning to a Moscato DOCG after the meal). Homemade of course. I did everything in her little unused kitchen.
The rest of the time was spent at home, working, watching kids, doing laundry, cooking meals, managing household finances, playing catan with my oldest son, mowing the lawn, etc.
