Excellent children's high-fantasy series from the 1960s or 1970s; Disney adapted the first one into the box-office snafu of The Black Cauldron
IDK how they hold up for straight reading as an adult, but they're funny and exciting and would be fun to read to kids
They're not (AFAIK) explicitly Christian but they have good moral values without being tiresome
