Yes, there are some benefits but its not how you think it works.
Cognitive benefits of nicotine are better memory and attention (they stimulate dopamine in your brain), and that also means mood regulation.
Now imagine this: You are 3 months into cigs, get into a small argument or even traffic. Naturally, you would feel annoyed. But your brain will see cigs as the mood regulator because it gives you instant dopamine. Thats a major part of the addiction and the more you use it for that, the worse it gets, and the higher the quantity you will need.
Now, I dont know your conditions, but if you have ADHD or ADD, nicotine is a poor substitute for that. Theres research done in this but the cost is too much compared to getting a diagnosis and proper medication.
