Date: August 28th, 2026 6:51 PM Author: German pumo The Israelis were very complimentary of the fight the Jordanians put up in Jerusalem and the Syrians did in the initial assaults on the Golan Heights in 1967. They killed hundreds of Israeli troops, including elite paratroopers.
But an orderly retreat doesn't seem to be part of the Arab soldier's mentality. Once they started moving backwards, it almost always turned into a rout- including with the same soldiers who had just fought bravely in their fixed positions. |

Their officer positions are handed out based on political power and influence and if things look bad they run. Once they run their troops run too, especially since once the officers are gone no one will help them and they'll be written off as dead.
