I just saw a random clip of a Dem talking about affordability and government handouts for the middle class and I was like huh, that kinda makes sense. Seems at least somewhat reasonable.
You go to Wikipedia. Turbo Zionist (despite being an African guy from Colorado, no natural connection to Zionism), anti gun, thinks 16 year olds should be able to vote, legal weed everywhere, climate change is the greatest threat to civilization/Green New Deal, he was a Covid testing bull, wants to nationalize mail in ballots, legalize all illegal aliens, anti-cop weirdo...
Like dude what the fuck? They can't just stick to razzing Conturds for taking away people's benefits? There's a path here but none of these people are normal at all.

I am not full Consuela on this stuff, but more or less think that it's just basically for show now. Yes, shit under Biden was nuts. But it's swung back into a new sort of culture war equilibrium. And I think the goal is to sort of have the masses stuck in this zone for a while until they have to move onto something new.
Social media gives everyone the sense that they have a voice and are "doing something," but in reality they're just noise. The leviathan does what it wants. All the while people get some sort of catharsis by endlessly complaining on camera.
The UK is its own thing, but how many "content creators" are making some version of the same video again and again? The whole "guy with a beard looks at the camera and says 'we can't live like this'" after Migrant Event #203920. The whole Chud "nothing ever happens" meme is real in part because people have anesthetized themselves.

They've basically made it impossible for new "Blue Dog" style democrats to come up. And most of the old ones got nuked in 2012 by the Tea Party (remember that fucking lol).
In part the country has really bifurcated dramatically. And I think this trend accelerated bigly post-2020. NY and CA are bluer whereas Texas and Florida are redder, even if you hear stories about "people moving back."
IMO Congress now basically exists as a combo grift house and culture war stage. The budget isn't going to get balanced anytime soon, so it's better to focus on State and local matters and ideally live in a place where you agree with the broader political milieu.
