German cars are for dumb strivers unless you're legit loaded and can easily afford the top of the line models

So you're thinking of having two EVs and no other cars? Sounds like a chore for road trips but maybe that's my mindset as a Midwesterner

I took a fairly long road trip with the Tesla (which will be the road trip car) and supercharging is pretty fast and the fact that it drives itself makes them much easier. Also, many hotels now have EV chargers so you start every morning with a charged car, which is great. Keep in mind that I'm driving with a dog and a toddler, so you need those stops anyway.

The Ford Mustang is replacing a Ford Explorer that was supposed to be the long range road trip car but we realized we were just taking the Tesla anyway, which made two big family haulers stupid. This will probably be my wife's commuting car.

Also, at home charging aside from road trips is far more convenient and EVs need way less maintenance.

Just bought it today. It is crazy how you just find something you like, exchange some texts and bam, you bought a car. No haggling, no nothing.

I'm considering trolling for this like I did for BMW... But hard to mix this with the Russian persona. The BMW worked really well for that.

They're being sold at big discounts these days, so my trade in for a 2022 Ford Explorer made it truly almost nothing (you can get one brand new under $50k if you look around, if you're willing to get a slightly used one you can save even more). Given that this would be for all local driving I don't care about the main disadvantage which is slow supercharging. Otherwise, performance is 180 and everything else is solid.

By the way, took it on a road trip and it was fine, though the Tesla remains my road trip car. The lack of interior and trunk/frunk space is a bigger issue for road trips than the charging.

Like 11k miles. It is legit 180, tbh. Probably the best reasonably priced car you can get right now.
