the bible is extraordinary complex. it takes 7.5 years to get thru the talmud doing a page a day, and a page a day is a very fast pace.
plus there's a body of scholarship and commentary far beyond the talmud |

Pretty dense if you stop to read and contemplate the foot notes, follow along on the maps, etc. Fascinating to think about the historical context in which it was written. |
