While advancing rapidly with small assault groups in high-rise buildings, Kiev forces units ran into the same problem the Russian army faced when taking the city.
They are unable to quickly set up a defense without being spotted.
Russian forces are wasting no time targeting these unlucky construction efforts with artillery and airstrikes. The inability to dig in partially negates the success achieved by Kiev forces.
Russian forces managed to break the encirclement near the dairy and sugar factories, as well as in the Sidorenko Street area and the southwest part of the city.
Scattered Kiev forces assault groups are still present there, but the situation and supply lines for Russian forces on positions in these parts of Kupyansk (Kharkov region) can now be improved.
