Andersen himself mostly had comments turned off and was dismissive of those he engaged with
More problematically, he quit or was kicked out of his phd program while mostly finished with it, went on a multi month heavy marijuana rant spiral while whining about his mom and orange man bad, got a job a substitute teacher or something and then dropped off the internet (for now)
Personally, I think it is hard to separate a philosopher’s work from his life, they parallel and mirror each other. Whatever his worldview is hasn’t worked for him so far imo, whereas I prioritize trying to build a life of wholeness. I like Jung in part because he really lived a life of wholeness, vs nietzsche who was unmarried, childless, and totally collapsed
With that said, I do think Andersen has helpful and interesting things to say, just with those caveats in mind |
