I think my favorite era of Trump was late in term 1 but pre Covid. It really seemed like the economy was booming for regular people. Random metric but Black wages reached historic highs. It was before inflation. Businesses were expanding. Covid and inflation changed everything. K shaped economy. This weird thing now where the majority of people have nothing but the elites are so fucking rich that 10% of the country can keep the entire economy afloat.
I voted for Trump because I wanted to see growth for the working class. Rich people getting richer faster off AI is cool and all. I'm not against it, I'm not a Communist. But when are they going to do something for regular people? When is anything besides the NASDAQ ever going to grow again?
Here's my hot take, homes aren't actually that expensive. You just have to factor in that young people should live at home until they're 40 and put every penny into QQQ and then start life later.
Anyway we're never going back to normal. I don't know if I can vote for a Democrat just to spite Trump and AIPAC. We're headed for some pretty weird times but I think the average person is checked out. I cannot predict the future but I will be buying shares of Raytheon every day because war is inevitable no matter what we do.
