SEC dominance was largely built on the basis of its proximity to the talent base of the sport.
If what really matters is cumulative alumni wealth, Harvard and Stanford are going to dominate, if those schools decide that's too gauche to try to do, there's still a long list of schools better positioned than the traditional SEC powers. |
