Love skiing and go to Denver to ski every year or two. I hike all the time but there's great hiking all along the coasts.

If you live for skiing then yeah, it can be worthwhile. Honestly, Loveland is some of the best skiing on the planet, close to the city and cheap with a very long season.

For hiking I love the Catskills.

Seems 180 if you are OK with the weather. Reasonable house price, traffic way less than SF/LA/Chicago, lot of educated people, tons of outdoors stuff to do.

LOL it's nothing like East Coast snow - Denver snows and then you get clear blue skies for skiing almost immediately

It's pretty windy but in general the west has way better weather than anything on the east coast so kind of a weird complaint

People on this board think places like Las Vegas, Phoenix, Sacramento, etc. have "bad weather." (Admittedly, they do for about 3 months a year, but the rest of the year is cool, dry, sunny, and better than how it is 99% of the time on the east coast.) It's safe to say a solid percentage of the board has never been west of the Mississippi.

the only reason mfh is bad is because it turns the subway into a sauna

otherwise it's perfectly fine unless you were raised in canada or something

Not balling but doing very well

Legal weed, lots of outdoorsy shit, great beer, and plenty of chill hippie chicks or cowgirl types - not nearly as many striver shrews as a big city
