Samsung became a big player in audio when they bought Harman in 2016. In 2025 they bought Sound United, that's where B&W and Denon came from.
AKG & JBL - no way they would stop making headphones with those brands
B&W & Mark Levinson - not really all that strong as headphone brands but they have a certain amount of prestige just because they are expensive (and thus have huge margins). Might as well keep them around.

But if the headphones say Samsung, and the implication is that Samsung made them in-house, NO ONE is buying them. Instead they are given away free with the phones so that Samsung can claim they're offering buyers a "$99 bonus." That's all the mark is good for |
