2016 still had a huge boomer greatest Gen voting contingent and no Gen zers voting yet. The older generations hate the word socialism in any form. Bernie would've been crushed. For that matter the gope probably circles the wagons and beats Bernie with a middle of the road jeb! style candidate (maybe Trump wins anyway but idk)
