she actually refunded me an extra month by accident.
the check retardedly had about $20 less on the written amount. the numeric amount was the correct amount with the extra month.
i realized that the check is perfectly valid with the discrepancy, and that it's just valid for the written amount (the legal amount), i.e., the lower amount.
i didn't want her to realize her mistake in overpaying me by a month and call attention to anything, so i was perfectly happy to take the $20 lower amount.
i went to her bank and cashed the check for cash cash and walked out with the money.
she never noticed. |
