I love them.
Agree, they are similar to horror movies in that they reuse the same ridiculous tropes and are extremely formulaic. There's a lot of fun in that, though. I particularly love the Hallmark movies with female lawyers that return to their hometowns and find love. Xo catnip.
I love that Hallmark vibes are a complete 180 (meant directionally for a change, hah) from horror movies. I watched probably 15-20 horror movies in September and October and by the end of it, my soul felt a little... snuffed out. The (nearly painfully) wholesome Hallmark movie I watched this weekend was refreshing. Fun to go from "thuper dark!" to Christmas joy.
