Mexico has a huge wealth gap just like we do and their poorest are REALLY dirt poor. Many don't even speak Spanish well they speak some native dialect. If you go to Mexico and spend time in Mexico City you'll see a ton of very wealthy people that have zero interest in moving to the US (which, makes sense since Mexico City is nicer and safer than ANY large US city).
But most of the Latino migrants you see in the US merely passed through Mexico from places like Honduras, Venezuela, El Salvador, Nicaragua, etc. |
