Date: March 26th, 2025 11:10 AM Author: Ass Sunstein Long Beach is not a bad place. One of the last places in coastal LA/OC still relatively affordable, and some of the best weather in the region.
Gets a bad rap due to being made famous by rappers/etc, but the "hood" area of Long Beach (North Long Beach) is just one section of the city next to Compton. Downtown Long Beach itself also has some ghetto areas but on the whole it's nice enough. Mostly middle class whites, Latinos, and Asians with some expensive areas around the beach, country clubs, etc.
Not good for commuting to downtown LA or the westside, which is what keeps it cheaper than other parts of LA county. Most people work in Long Beach or in the nearby parts of OC. |
