Collecting is kind of the point in and of itself. They get some satisfaction out of researching, searching, test driving, and acquiring. And for boomers to whom money is no object, what difference does it make that it's not "worth" it if you can only drive one car at a time. That's not the point to them.
Also, as long as there are other boomers around, the "value" of these cars keeps climbing.
