Cooper Union and Olin are also very good but small. RPI has good students and a reputation equal to the strength of its student body. I don't think it's necessary to go to a specialized school. I think going to a state flagship with a strong engineering program like Purdue, Michigan, or UIUC will get you the same job and you will have more fun.
