If a woman's hypergamy threshold is, say, the top 20% of men, then the bottom 80% of men have nothing to offer her by definition. They will never have anything to offer her. "Men" are not "failing her," and there is in fact literally nothing that "men" can do to change her willingness to enter monogamous relationships with them
