I mean this was all on pure lack of control screaming. These girls would do anything to be with these guys.

Producers would do audience warm-up and really whip people up into a frenzy. The whole routine, the studio setting, sympathetic audience, etc is really conducive to a kind of mob craze. I once went to a late-night talk taping and the urge to behave like a 15yo girl was overwhelming
