Sadly, people are also terrible with money (I'm one of them). They'll buy anything at whatever price, rack up debt or forgo other expenses in favor of these games. Usually the debt option is exercised.
For me though I'm actually grateful the Switch2 doesn't seem special enough. It is legit a hardware upgrade with mouse controls. Never been a big Mario Kart guy, used to love Smash but barely played the last gen... I'll probs just wait for the next big Zelda and still might have to go a... different direction anyways to play it lol

That's $80 on top of the yearly fee to play online and fees to upgrade Switch 1 games. No longer a budget console that's for sure. Curious how this impacts sales. As someone who was considering buying this has definitely changed my opinion. Maybe in a few years with a larger library. Can't even wait for a price drop because that never happens.
