But he's got to get some income and also reduce spending. He is reducing some spending but he needs to get some income and tariffs can provide that income ..

Congress had never okay a consumption tax but he doesn't need to have their okay by just raising tariffs. I predict that Trump may be able to increase the standard deduction so that a lot of people don't have to pay taxes, and he may raise it to 50 or $60,000.. and he'll pay for that with tariffs and spending cuts..

And as a bonus he can cause a crash in asset prices which is what we really need along with some deflation
