Ever since then I've been looking for evidence to the contrary and I have yet to find it. The reasons for his ascent to power have to do with his lineage, nothing to do with merit. No one in China ever said "he's the right guy for the job," but it was impossible to imagine giving it to anyone else under the circumstances.
All that said, you don't have to be a genius to win against Trump. You just have to not fuck up. This dood Xi won by NOT CALLING Trump over the weekend. Inaction was all it took. |
