Business produces cash flow in the low 7 figures. Amazing. But there are so many things that could take it away. Competitors, customers, suppliers, regulators, technology, the landscape is always shifting. Meanwhile, net worth outside the business is a couple million, some of it also in illiquid investments. Liquid is maybe 1 million.

On the one hand it's awesome to have the business, on the other hand things can feel precarious sometimes.

Positive cash flow of 1-2 million per year. Recently achieved. Haven't had a lot of years to accumulate those kinds of profits at this point.

this is why people sell small businesses, when they don't want to grind and take risk any more. but usually the multiples are sps like ~2-5x PE so maybe just keep running it

Multiples are low and you often have to seller finance a huge chunk of the purchase price. That means waiting years for the $ and possibly never getting it at all.
