he quickly showed up here denying the allegation. he was uncharacteristically serious, too. instead of the faux-chill "brother, the box is cool but i don't remember that, maybe she wishes we had hooked up! i totally would though brothers email me!" he was fairly vitriolic, claiming that tbtp is fat and not up to his standards.

she then poasted the screenshot in question. in it, she evidently is telling a friend that CSLG "asked her" if he could kiss her and she said no. some poasters (CSLG alts probably) jumped on that as a fatal inconsistency because it doesn't show that he TRIED TO FORCE HIMSELF ON HER. anyone with any sense can see that if this text message is legit, it actually bolsters tbtp's claim - CSLG hit on her and made an advance and she shot it down.

he then poasted a pic of this hot chick he bangs out (with his wife, presumably) as evidence that if he's fucking that kind of poon, he wouldn't waste his time with tbtp. note that this was yesterday, christmas day.

my theory is that CSLG's wife is on board with sex outside the marriage but only if she is involved/knows about it. she didn't know about anything with tbtp, and if she's seen the poasting here, she is likely pissed. she might allow herself to believe CSLG's side of the story though, so that she can just dismiss it and move on. but maybe not.

that's where CSLG is imo. his wife would have to be willfully ignorant to believe him in light of that text screenshot. or dismiss it as being fabricated by tbtp. i have no idea what kind of person she is and therefore whether she will do that.

But all that being said I have never known her to lie about anything. She is not manipulative in the sense that she does not concoct long term plots to harm people. She is somewhat impulsive, lives in the moment, what you get is what you see with her.

it's possible his wife just doesn't care, but i doubt it. there is a reason that CSLG broke character on xmas eve and got very serious in denying the allegation, insulting tbtp, etc. he NEVER does that. he's a very intelligent guy, but this was a fatal mistake imo because it more or less confirms that (1) her claim is true and (2) he is trying to plausibly deny it for a reason, probably because he can't have his wife finding out.

i sympathize. as everyone knows, a lot of my own cheating was discovered in 2020 by my wife, who is good at computer.

also, re: your speculation above, I really doubt that his wife would care too much about a failed attempt to kiss me, since nothing actually happened.  like maybe she'd be hurt for a day, but she could ultimately mentally dismiss it with logic like: maybe if I *had* agreed, he would have felt bad after five seconds and it wouldn't have gone any further

but the legit affair with the blonde girl, that's pretty serious.  she was a client's friend – he met her when she came in for a depo – and pretty much the whole firm knew that they were banging in his office.  if I were his wife and found out about that, it would really erode my trust, because I'd feel like there was always a danger of him cheating *whenever he's at work*, which is a significant amount of time

him coming onto me at the end of the night didn't really add new info since he had already been talking about about how he has extramarital relationships behind his wife's back (in addition to the ones with her permission).  I guess all it told me was that he's really shameless and will ALWAYS shoot his shot.  there was absolutely nothing in that moment that pointed toward any kind of romantic or sexual tension.
