hfs what is going on out there, it's like you need a 3.9 and 170 to get into GWU now.

i don't understand how LSAT scores rise, isn't it curved? or do they not adjust it to make it harder as scores increase? it's completely failing at its basic purpose of differentiating test takers.

Only in the sense that so many people get accommodations now it's easier on average. But it's bimodal. If you don't get accommodations it's just as hard as it was.

Anyone going to law school in this day and age is probably fucked. I don't know where all the impressive young people are, but they're not around me. From my hole in the ground I see a bunch of shit, pure shit.

99% of the work will be done by AI going forward. so it's the perfect cover for going all in on DEIs now.

logic games really made a difference

jews who previously had to wander the dessert for 40 years due to lack of spatial reasoning may now ply their verbal iq acumen to get into gw

I totally shit the bed on logic games and still got in the 170s / T14 / etc. My score would have been outrageous without games

Since the current generation is illiterate, how are they doing so well?

Today: 170 = roughly 94.5th percentile, or the top 5.5% of LSAT scores.

2005: 170 LSAT was approximately the 97.4–97.5th percentile — roughly the top 2.5% of test takers.

A 170 in 2025 is roughly a 166 in 2005 terms. Makes sense. GW was 165 when I looked at it.

I applied as an elder zoomer with a 3.7 / 177 and got waitlist at all T14 I applied to which was almost all of them. Someone with my profile can not get admitted reliably and if you somehow get admitted you will pay sticker. Basically post-COVID there has been a race to the bottom on grading and schools give everyone a 3.9 now which makes sense as any school that doesn’t inflate relative to peers will just hurt the employment and grad school prospects of its students so they basically just have to ride the inflation wave.

Everyone cheats on the LSAT now with "accommodations." The whole industry is a joke in 2026
