Date: July 14th, 2025 9:43 AM Author: Spectacular talking institution the "autopen scandal" was about what one would expect. top aides would say that Biden had approved this or that and then different aides (who weren't present when Joe supposedly gave the order) would write down what they called "blurbs" as confirmation and then staff would use the autopen.
sometimes Biden supposedly approved categories of pardons and then the staff would determine who fit the criteria. Biden never knew the specific names and the list could be tinkered with by staff up to the last minute.
nothing will be reversed and the procedure they apparently used was too loose but legally sufficient. the real issue was that Joe was mentally incompetent and his top staff had way too much free rein.
