Watched The King's Speech with an ethereal art hoe fembuddy of mine around the time it came out and it broke the ice between us for some reason I can't fully recall (Im gay now in case my previous poasting hasn't made that clear!)

2021-2023 has to be the worst stretch of all time. The Biden and George Floyd COVID years. Pure cultural malaise

just rewatched no country for old men last night. Great movie but plot is very thin on rewatch. Only like 10 scenes. At the time it seemed to build differently but its simple movie and is over quick.

Have only seen 6 of them:

I liked Shape of Water cuz it was different and had Shanon and Hawkins in it.

NCFOM was also really different/pretty good, with a great villian, and a good 'what would you do' aspect.

Kings Speech was interesting bcs I am British and it covered my countrys history and the Monarchy etc.

Oppenh was good but they should have focused more on the 'oh the humanity' aspect much much moar, they really missed that aspect imho

Departed and Birdman were meh, so may rewatch just to be sure.

2018 - The Shape of Water

2008 - No Country for Old Men

2011 - The King's Speech

2024 - Oppenheimer

2007 - The Departed

2015 - Birdman
