-Obama lost a race for Congress in 2000, media/powers that be seemed to clear the field for him in his Senate run in 2004
-Booker lost his race for mayor, documentary got made, he ran again and it was marketed as a foregone conclusion that he would win
-Jindal lost the race for governor and almost immediately GOP found a seat in Congress for him |
