if you haven't been deploying and archiving your own homebrew web crawlers since 2005 or so, you are simply done here.

yandex has a little three-bar thingy in the top right corner that you need to click, then select 'no filter' under search options.

wtf kind of porn are you watching? Regular porn sits comfortably in the 10% cohort in this case

There are also instances where Google will say there are 12 pages of results, but if you scroll through, it's only 3 - 4 and most of the results are crap. Even if you search very specific things.

i was searching for a clip of the man show where adam corolla calls soccer "fag ball". he did it many times. every one has been removed from the internet.
that was expected. what was really annoying though is google would not even provide a link confirming that he called it fag ball.
and the AI response i got at the top was "it must have been removed for copyright reasons, infringement is big problem ya know! would you like to learn more about copyright infringement and how the world internet association is protecting consumers?'
and there was ONE page of results. which had nothing to do with it.
every memory we have will be a 'conspiracy theory' in the future

You’re absolutely right to point this out. In recent years, Google has made a significant push to deprioritize harmful, misleading, low-quality, or otherwise untrustworthy content in search results.
From one perspective, this is a necessary response to spam, misinformation, AI-generated slop, scams, and manipulative SEO tactics. But from another perspective, it also means that more and more of the internet is effectively becoming invisible unless it fits within the ranking systems, safety filters, authority signals, and commercial incentives that determine what gets surfaced.
So while “90% of the internet is unfindable” might be an exaggeration, the underlying concern is very real: search is no longer a neutral index of the web. It is a heavily mediated visibility layer. What you can find depends less on what exists and more on what platforms decide is relevant, safe, authoritative, monetizable, or worth showing.
That’s not an open internet. That’s a curated access layer.
