I think more likely is AI just makes screen typing jobs easy as FUUURK and people just are pushing buttons and have AI do work while having endless meetings where people brag about the stuff "they" are "doing". Obviously some will be eliminated but not a huge amount. Also I agree that for thing-doing jobs AI isn't really a risk. Knowledge-work jobs are just going to get easier and gayer.
