FYI - i used to think the classic 80s song "West End Girls" had these lyrics....

I was similarly confused about that song's lyrics.
for some reason, I got Pet Shop Boys' 'West End Girls' fused in my mind with that other 80s song 'I Wanna Be A Cowboy' by Boys Don't Cry (both tracks have a similar gay bathhouse energy, so this made some amount of sense).
in my 7y/o mind, West End Town became 'Western town,' West End Girls became 'Western Girls,' and the song took on a kind of vague 'Western' or Cowboy theme, like the Boys Don't Cry song. the 'knocking over tables' line became a saloon brawl or something in my mind. it became a gay Western.
