Here on business, brought the family because it's a very cool city with tons for them to do while I'm working. We ate out at each of the Michelin starred restaurants and ~ 1/3 of the tables were single or small groups of haggard, leathery white women who spoke zero Spanish. I can't imagine how lonely and terribly they must feel at that stage of life, but something has to be done about them. I'm sure they vote like Mao when they're home.

Is it good for families? I took a family trip to CDMX last year and it was fun. Is Mexico CR now or is it scary after those cartel fags crashed out over some homo getting murked?

Mexico is very CR for families now, I absolutely recommend. Their mid tier cities are excellent, like Puebla and Oaxaca both have incredible cultural activities/museums/historical sites. Many of the good restaurants even have kids play areas you can just dump them at, or a top nanny is very cheap.

You need to know a bit of Spanish to get the best experience, lots of tourists get taken advantage of but as long as you come prepared I think it's even better than Europe for tourism right now (no Muslim crime gangs anywhere!) The chimpout was a flash in the pan, the cartels barely lasted a day before getting their shit pushed in by the army, marines, and intelligence agencies.

You’re not worried about your kids ending up in some cartel funkytown hell video?

Not at all, the far south is a very safe region. Much more risk of them liking it too much and wanting to come back.

In Oaxaca for “business” huh? Must be that huge financial district in Teotitlán del Valle.

Through a bizarre series of transactions I ended up owning a taxi medallion in Oaxaca which we rent out. I had to do the 5 year renewal, it was a 3.5 hour Kafkaesque ordeal this morning but it's a great excuse to drink some mezcal
