I don't get what's the point of any of this. If you're lucky, you're not one of the kids trafficked, abused, or killed, or one of the civilians crushed by a war they had nothing to do with.
You're safe at home, distracted by money, comfort, and entertainment, while that suffering stays outside. We tell ourselves that being far away makes us innocent. It doesn't. We just don't have to look at it.
What gets me is how predictable it all is. Different countries, different eras, same patterns. We build systems that grind people down, benefit from them, and then act surprised when the damage keeps spreading.
Nothing really changes, except who gets hurt this time. It feels less like a tragedy and more like a cycle we refuse to break.
Not because we don't know better, but because it's easier not to care until it's close enough to hurt.
But hey, you're the next one to go, just wait it out.
