It’s the basic entry level for a real watch. ETA movements, crystal sapphire, good finish and durability. I still have a few I was given as gifts when I was a teenager and they run well and look good despite being well worn.
I have a good collection now with Rolexes, Lange, etc and I’d still rock a McQueen or Gulf Racing Monaco.

Tag Heuers was the watch to have for the boarding school New England demographics when I was at school and college in the 1990s into 2000s. No idea what angry shit you're babbling about other than you're just one of those bitter twisted incels seeking to blame everything on Jewish people because your life is a failure.
I live in solid upper UMClandia and few people care about watches enough to recognize this over that watch unless it's something important to you. You see more smartwatches than Rolexes.
I have a Tag Heuer Carerra Calibre 16. Cost me a few thousand. That's all I was interested in spending on a watch even though I could drop a lot more if I wanted to. It's just a piece of jewelry and does the job. I rather like it. I'm a boring wasp.

I call out bullshit when I see bullshit - your post was bullshit and nothing more than hate-filled screechings.
Try to keep the cliches consistent. Jews are supposed to be uber-materialistic JAP type Long Island/New Yawk/Joisey people who wouldn't be caught dead with a Tag Heuer because it's so cheap. Right? Everyone knows Jews control the world's money supply and rig stock markets and have their tentacles throughout the Trump administration to make money off innocent Americans, right? So why would they ever wear something so lowly and crappy like Tag Heuers?
Man up and be consistent.

I have no idea what you're talking about, you're just foaming at the mouth. A lot of Jews are rich because they're cheap. That's the whole point of TAG. They're ugly, garish, and affordable, but someone who has a little bit of means can get one for a reasonable price and convince themselves they're wearing something that's just as good as the real thing. You're absolutely proving my point. Another reason Jews are tacky is because they're so focused on making money they never develop a personality. So they see something that sucks and isn't as good but they think it is because they can't tell the difference, but other people can tell. That's what's so funny about it and why hating on TAG is such an established 'in' in the watch community. The whole point of being an old money WASP is to have taste and class regardless of what some nouveau riche Jew is doing. A WASP doesn't necessarily care all that much about a decline in wealth, power, or cultural relevance so long as his life and decisions are correct and full of meaning. That's the whole point of being a WASP. Jews have no history to build upon so they fill it with an ersatz backstory that's about being just as good as the WASPs but slightly different. They're approximating culture without really understanding it. And that's why TAG is such a good business model for types of people who have no understanding of why things are the way they are. Luxury Swiss watchmaking has been a part of the Protestant tradition for centuries. Easy to understand why a Jew with no taste would come along and slap a Japanese movement in a tacky, garish, downmarket watch and call it luxury. Christ is king, faggot.

those look nice. also saw a carerra calibre 5 in steel/gold recently that i liked.
they have some decent looking stuff, but i think are still trying to live down their crazy '90s designs in a lot of people's minds.

I would get an omega speedy over that watch, but it’s not a terrible watch
spending $40k on the tourbillion version would be insane work though

1. Watch collectors view these negatively. Many of their watches are quartz, which is considered cheap/unserious. They also see them as poser type watches because they're priced right at entry level for luxury watches but watch collectors think they're overly flashy/garish/tacky for that price point. General consensus is that they're watches for people who make just enough to start collecting but don't know anything.
2. Watch collectors are self important dorks and you should ignore them and buy whatever you personally think looks and feels good on your wrist.

everyone here can stfu about tag because it was the first 'luxury' watch each and every one of you bought unless you were some kinda fag. the first time i ever won decent money at the casino i walked my ass straight to the jewelry store at the bellagio and bought a 180 af quartz formula 1.
they didn't go downhill so much as other brands did a better job of raising themselves up (rolex/tudor and omega, specifically), and as buyers learned more about watches they discover other brands like iwc, etc.
recently, tag has a developed a nice lineup and it's reputation is improving. i like the chronos you linked to and think their solargraphs are cool

Been thinking about getting one of the newish "Glass box" carrera chronographs, the reverse panda and the purple both look sick. They're a bit too close to the price of a speedy but have more soul and I think I prefer automatics.
Also considered the IWC Portugueser chrono but I think 41mm with a thick case is a bit oafish
