Were Andy's toys and Molly's toys friends?

Or was it, like, they didn't like Molly's toys out of loyalty to Andy, who probably didn't like Molly that much? I'm just wondering why in Toy Story 3, when Andy is going to college and his toys are going into storage or being thrown away, they can't just crash in Molly's room. They smuggled Jessie and Bullseye into Andy's toy collection at the end of Toy Story 2, and apparently neither Andy nor his mom found that suspicious.
