From rural deep south, so we didn't grow up with any exposure (prior to complete open borders as we have wets playing on weekend in park and even a HS team now in town of 4,500 1 hr away from even a small metro).
Out of the 5 major team sports football, basketball, hockey, baseball and soccer, only basketball and soccer have no self policing for bad behavior, and this is ultimately what is 120 about the sport. Hockey has fights built into framework. Football is the most violent, and because overtime, all the players are in vulnerable positions at some point so cheap shots have less value in total. Baseball fighting is somewhat a part of the game plus it's well accepted that too much fuckup behavior might get you beamed with a 95mph fastball. Only nigball and soccer have faggot-try and flopping built in.
This is the problem with soccer. You have Eurofags trying to out Eurofag everyone and be pretty, and you have low level spics like Argentina and Uruguay trying to be tough without real repercussions.
The problem with soccer is that none of the Congo Les Bleus gets to bitch slap any of those Platense spics without year long bans or shit like that. This is essentially what fucks up soccer. A good fight every once in a while would prevent some of the dirty stuff and clean up the sport. |
