Everyone talked as if the take away was "A murderer goes free" or "celebrity buys acquittal" or even "the race card". But the real takeaway was that impartial justice (even as an ideal) is a white, western, Christian, male, historical phenomenon.

the reasonable part of reasonable doubt should include the understanding that city beat cops have said lots of bad words and bragged about a lot of shit for pussy. or that pieces of evidence are not collected by perfectly hygenic hands trained in labatory-qualified methods at a murder scene at 5AM

under the OJ reasonable doubt standard, no criminals get convicted at all

What's crazy to me about OJ is his blood was all over the crime scene and the defense argued that it it was planted there which is so implausible even benzo would agree it's impossible. This would never happen today without serious chain of custody mishandling.
