Date: April 15th, 2026 7:35 AM Author: Sapphire low-t sanctuary Drugs can definitely be one of those environmental triggers. Marijuana and powerful stimulants are the most likely to trigger the first psychotic episode if I remember correctly.
That being said, there’s an unfortunate stigma associating schizophrenia with drug use and violence. In most cases there are no drugs involved, and schizophrenic people aren’t any more violent than ordinary people unless they’re also abusing drugs. But that last part is true whether or not you’re schizophrenic. |
