i don't care about the economy and am more than happy with a sustainable and scarcely noticeable .5-1% GDP growth rate even if it's not classically competitive in the colosseum. so much blood has been shed for such little gain to the communities it's being shed in that it sickens me to the core. i am also fine with economic contractions, though i will note that beyond the nefariousness of speculators the economy was healthy and historically standard prior. economic slowdowns allow people to see for themselves which parts of the economy are rotten. i'm fine with it. churn and burn abattoir style real estate does not add much value to actual americans, and the costs produced by the endless displacements and destruction of real value are rarely, if ever, defrayed by the people raking in the take from said maluses.
