They keep grinding forward to the rest of Donetsk, which finishes that entire target of the war. Then strategically Odessa is vital for a number of reasons, and Kharkov is the 2nd largest city and also Russian. So all of that will still be left to do.

Chernigov and Sumy are all about a drive to Kiev. Until and unless you're ready to do that it just ties up resources that are better spent on Nikolaev, Donetsk region and Kharkov. |
