It's pretty hard but I'll give it a go.

First, we're code. And we're trying to resolve issues without going into the deepest parts of the code. We want to simplify shit that can't be simplified.

Second:

Becoming enlightened is waking up to reality and realizing you've been asleep this whole time. Everything you do, from the moment you were born, everything you think is "you" was learned and you were forced to think that way by parents and society. Your parents got it from theirs, they got it from theirs, and so on. At some point the repetition becomes "normal," and you have no option to look at it in a different way.

Once society agrees something's normal, you can't see outside it. The most broken things are accepted as "normal" and there's nothing to do about them. Even what makes you happy isn't real happiness, it's what you were told to feel good about. We think we want money, status, attention, but we only want it because everyone else wants it.

Nobody questions it because almost no one wants to be the freak who swims against the current. Money's fake. Superiority's fake. If everyone stopped caring tomorrow, you would too. We're all just stuck inside the same dream, pretending it's reality. But it's impossible to get out because the entire code is made by ourselves and we can't break it.

I basically chant a mantra: Nam-Myoho-renge-kyo. It's Nichiren's Buddhism. I don't really study that much nor attend meetings, so I do it all on my own. I try to do 30 mins a day of this.

Buddhism is just Pessimism but in a more “socially acceptable” window dressing. And what you posted above isn’t Buddhism or Pessimism, it’s some pseudo-philosophical Matrix rehash straight out of 2001.

This is exactly what I mean when I say we keep simplifying everything. Every argument shrinks something deep into a label or an insult. That's why society's a shitshow now. We flatten everything that could make us think. You're just grabbing the first thing that pops up from the collective unconscious without even thinking about it.

There are also references to this in the Gnostic Gospels, early Christian texts found in 1945 near Nag Hammadi, Egypt, and considered apocryphal by the Church--meaning they were excluded from the Bible by Church authorities, not by Jesus or his followers.

The Gospel According to Thomas (Nag Hammadi Codex II, 2), Saying 3 (NH II, 32:19–33:10)

Jesus said: “If those who lead you say to you, ‘See, the kingdom is in the sky,’ then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, ‘It is in the sea,’ then the fish will precede you. Rather, the kingdom is inside of you and it is outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living Father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty, and it is you who are that poverty.”
