You only think that “ecosystems” are salient when they’re successful af like Nintendo before they stopped making games + Apple. The second there’s any adversity with anything you cope by saying it’s a waste of time and doesn’t matter anyway. You do this with fucking EVERYTHING including life itself.
Also you’re talking like an investor. You have less stock than any of us can possibly imagine. Sony basically Lost money while winning the PS3 gen. Sega basically made no money with the Genesis. This is what you want. You get so many more/better games when Firms are competing. 10,000k games on steam isn’t competition. It’s just Nerds throwing shit against the wall. |

Imo Xbox was tolerated in the Gates/Ballmer era bc it was their baby but Satya dgaf. If it’s not a success then playing the long game is just sunk cost fallacy from his pov.
